Fresh is Best! A Holistic Approach to Weight Loss
Did you know that obesity has doubled since 1980? Last year, more than 1.9 billion adults were overweight. As we move through the holiday season, remember to prepare and eat meals that are fresh and try to at least maintain your current weight. Stay away from fast, frozen, and processed foods. Spend most of your time in the produce isle at your local grocery store. Park in the last parking stop to get in extra steps for the day. Use the stairs when possible and as often as you can to get in some additional cardiovascular exercise.
Just like we are dedicated to Caring with a Commitment to Quality, make a commitment to yourself. Seek professional advice and be dedicated to losing weight in 2016. Every little bit counts. Watch your portion sizes, add food rich in fiber and minerals to colorful meals and be sure to include plenty of fruits, veges and herbs in everything you eat. Enjoy healthy snacks between meals to increase the metabolism and remember, everything in moderation. If you think its too hard to do this on your own, our home health aids can assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation. We encourage you to start your plan for a healthy new year!
