What is Spiritual Wellness? 

Well, we have to break it down first.  According to Wikipedia, “Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being.”   Wikipedia states that “Spirituality is a process of personal transformation.”   So if we put all of that together Spiritual Wellness is a personal transformation towards a healthier balance of the mind, body and spirit.  

How do you transform yourself spiritually?  You can transform yourself by believing in something or someone.  You can transform yourself through the support of organized religious groups, by having a spiritual connection with the energies of the natural world around you, or by believing in yourself.  Taking control of your Spiritual Wellness means you want to transform yourself for one reason or another.  There is no one set method of transformation that works for everyone.  Sometimes, you need a variety of support and options.  No matter which option you choose, transformation occurs when you open your mind to change, decide to listen, begin to learn, and create action to do.

Some people seek Spiritual Wellness to heal their mind, body, or spirit.  These are some simple steps of healing.

  1. Ask for forgiveness and forgive others.
  2. Believe that you are valued and loved.
  3. Know that you can make a difference in your life.
  4. Share your love, knowledge and support with others.
